Intake
Ergotherapie Inclusief works both online and at Gezond in Zuid in Amsterdam Zuid. Upon registration, we will contact you by phone to discuss the possibilities and schedule an intake assessment.
An intake assessment lasts 60 minutes and in this we will:
Getting acquainted
Mapping your complaints and perceived limitations
Discuss your request for help, goals, and expectations
Drawing up an occupational therapy treatment plan
Treatment
When we both come to the conclusion that I can provide you with the care you want, we will schedule a new appointment (online or at the practice) and start the treatment.
A treatment lasts an average of 60 minutes, and can be shortened in consultation, depending on your resilience, our schedules, and the goal of the treatment session.
Within the treatment, depending on your complaints and goals, attention will be paid to:
Psycho-education; understanding what complaints you have, why, and what is needed to promote your recovery.
Energy management; gain insight into how you distribute your energy, and what is needed for more stability and/or an upward trend in your recovery.
Sleep problems; understand what you can do to fall asleep easily, sleep better, and improve the quality of your sleep.
Recognizing body signals and boundaries; our body is communicating with us all day long about what is going on and what we need, but listening to this well and knowing how to interpret these signals is something we are often not taught. In order to recover well, it is important to be more in touch with our body.
Restorers and energizers; what gives you energy, and how do you recharge?
Balance in load and load capacity; finding a suitable balance between how much you do and how much you can handle, with room for your daily/weekly schedule, all the balls you want to keep in the air, and attention for rest and relaxation.
Dealing with stimulus sensitivity; understanding what you can do if, for example, ambient noise or light becomes too much for you, and investigating whether you can increase your tolerance for these stimuli.
Building up your activity level; that is ultimately what everyone wants. Being able to pick up your daily life again and doing more in all areas in the way you want. But how do you build this up if you have been feeling limited for a long time?
Reintegration; guidance in returning to work if you have previously been unable to work due to your complaints.
Value-oriented work; learning to understand yourself better and being able to give direction to your life based on the things you find important. With or without complaints.
